Penniless Man Walks from England to India- By Choice
Heard about the 28 year-old man who's decided to walk from his home in Bristol, England to India- 9000 miles with no money and no visas, just a backpack? (And thank goodness, no wife or kids left to fend for themselves while he wanders the globe.)
Vagabondish gives us the story of idealistic former dotcom businessman, Mark Boyle, who's part of the "free economy movement, a group that strives for a moneyless society where people exchange skills and labor, and there is more face to face communication between cultures."
What's happened so far? According to his blog, Boyle took off on Wednesday and walked 5.8 miles (by our google map calculations). Evidently he's some sort of semi-celebrity in England, because people honked and waved, gave him free stuff, fed him dinner and filmed him for a documentary. These are the good times. Kandahar might be a bit more difficult.
We'll keep you updated on his adventures.
